Crimdell

The Crimdell is a bridge or the pond by the bridge (or both) on the campus. Swimming in the Crimdell is part of the "triathlon" at W&M. I have yet to swim in the Crimdell. They say that if you kiss someone on it, you're destined to marry them or something and in order to reverse the spell you have to push them off. I don't know. There's a path by the Crimdell that I like to take when getting to some of my classes. It's sort of in nature, so not many people walk it. I love it because there are lots of animals, especially Turtles and Frogs. I once saw some kind of water bird eating a frog there, that was cool. Today I saw a squirrel with the biggest balls I've ever seen on a squirrel (aka the only balls that I've ever actually noticed on a squirrel). Walking seems like it would be painful because they were basically touching the ground.

These socks have been on the branch of a tree on this path from the first time I took it about a week and a half ago. I don't know whose they are. I guess I should move them, but they seem kind of nasty.

Retardation on Facebook.

A "friend" on facebook posted his status as "[name] is skeet shootin'". I guess this is an actual activity and not what the
urban dictionary definition says, but I still defriended him all the same.

A look back at usernames of times past.

Though perhaps not everyone views the process of creating a blog from the same perspective, I personally consider this act to be one that should be marked by reflection. So, to begin this blog which I'm assuming will become my main source of memory marking as I enter my college years, I will look back at the various usernames that I have used on the internet from the time that I was around ten years old to now.

Leovus3: My first internet username, created for my neopets account. Leovus was then a clever combination of my favorite pokemon and digimon (because I did not discriminate between races then), Leomon and Misdreavus. Imagining those creatures morphed together is pretty wierd.

Puppymon2: This was my first AIM log-in, back in the fourth grade. Puppymon was my fabricated digimon, which I believe was somehow supposed to be a Digivolution of Leomon. It was sort of a scrawny, athromorphic dog in the same vein as its evolutionary predecessor. I don't know why I had to use a 2 because I really don't think there was another Puppymon on AIM.

Offmyback72790: Perhaps embarassed by the lameness of my previous AIM incarnation I decided in fifth grade to create this grundgy new username, you know, because everyone was so "On my back" about everything in the fifth grade. The five numbers are my date of birth, showing my naivety to the dangers of posting one's birthdate online as clearly predators can gather information about his current wherabouts based on it.

Dr worm72790: I guess because changing one's IM was the cool thing to do way back when, I adopted this name in the sixth grade during my memorable but slightly shortlived stint as a TMBG obsessor. I still remember watching this repeatedly on VHS when I had recorded it from Kablaam!

Hayama: This was a nickname given to me by the only really good friend I had ever made through the internet, Jawa. It's based off a character from
Kodocha. This one has actually stuck with me to this day, and is the username I use whenever joining any new anime forum.

22: This two number title actually came to be in the days I was a Dragon Ball Z fan, during which I imagined myself to be the 22 android created by Doctor whoever for evil whatever. I was pretty inaccurate in giving myself this title, however, as in doing so I had pinned the villian Cell as the 21st android when in actuality he was never one at all. 22 is still my lucky number, though.

Suppletangerine: In truth, my most used internet title of the last four years came from a pretty lame source. Once I was at a concert at was then the too hip for me Jammin Java, where a group started playing a song which I thought was named "Suppletangerine". Somehow I found this funny enough to make a username off of it, and now it's just kind of stuck. Usernames don't really mean that much anyway.
